The dress is perfect! The fabric is soft and in a beautifull color. The split isn't to deep and the details are magnificent. Unfortunately, shipping took longer than expected and additional import costs were incurred.
Absolutely love this dress! It was a little bit tighter up top than I was anticipating, but the rest of it fit great. Great quality and it took about 2 months to get it. (Normal for HC) worth the wait! I think I will order a different color belt to go with it too. I do wish the embroidery was a different color and easier to see. (Sorry for the dirty mirror, I have a ton of dogs)
Purchased the Mystic Purple color. The design of the dress is wonderful, the color was beautiful. The double slits are high up and there's not a lot of stretch in the waist, so as a ***** lady it was a smidge difficult to get on and off, but I didn't really mind that. I had bought this dress for a wedding and I was so happy it had arrived in time! Unfortunately for me, though, I didn't have the chance to wash it ahead of time-- or maybe it's a good thing I didn't because hang-drying may have made the situation worse and tumble drying it even on low might have shrunken it. Regardless, I wore the dress to my friends' wedding as planned and realized shortly after that the pockets had completely stained my hands and nails purple. I was incredibly embarrassed as it was impossible to remove. Antibacterial handwipes were able to get a good chunk of it off, but it would just come right back if I had to fish something out of the pockets. I also found out shortly after we'd arrived back home that night that it had also stained under my upper arms and along my sides, as well. Two days and lots of scrubbing later, there's only a hint of the stain left on my nails, thankfully. Knowledge that this embarrassment is forever captured in my friends' wedding photos will haunt me forever. Providing additional care instructions is highly recommended. I even checked the tag and the care instructions on the website, but I didn't see any heads up. Oh well. At least I'll know for next time before I wear the blue one. 3 stars 'cause the dress is still nice, rating lower seems rude, even with the embarrassment still coursing through me.
Hi Christina, we're so sorry to hear that ❤️ We recommend always washing your HolyClothing garments before wear, to get rid of any dye residue :) If you're still having trouble with your Athena, to prevent any future bleeding, we recommend to add 1 cup of vinegar to the rinse cycle or one-half cup salt to the wash to help hold in colors. Use color-catcher sheets, which trap extraneous dyes during the wash cycle to prevent bleeding. Washing instructions: - wash separately, cold wash only, on delicate setting. Air drying is best :)
