What a dreamy chemise! It's lightweight and has a perfectly swirly skirt and feels like a perfect little sundress so I've been using it as such, after a little tailoring. I looked at the size chart and thought I was going to need a 3x for sure but it was cut to be a looser fit I guess so I had to take some length off the straps and make the armholes a bit tighter by running a bit of thin elastic through the binding of the armhole and now it fits better. Next time I'll just buy a size down 🤷 It did bleed dye when I handwashed it in cold water with a bit of Eucalan but maybe that was just a first time thing? We'll see! So far so good 👍
I'm pragmatic and practical, my wardrobe needs to be as well. I do not have time, money, or space to waste on things that cannot be for multiple uses, so I help off purchasing additional HC clothing for decades. Here the Amelia Chemise dressed up for an office day. I am senior level and required to be professional. I did not have clients this day but as you can see, the dress is fine as well, I had a black sleeveless top under it and a black duster/cardigan to offset the sleevelessness. My jewelry is always unique and as an "out of the broom closet pagan" I have often worn unique pieces even at client sites.
I love this dress, but unfortunately the straps are much too long and I will have to have it altered. Thank goodness my sister is a seamstress!
Gave it 4 stars only because I had to shorten the straps (I'm not "well-endowed"). The color is perfect & the dress is so versatile! I just wish that there was a cape in this color too!
